WHAT ARE WE DOING?
So excited to share that we have a really cool project/technique to learn for our June 13 Meeting.
This is just a little teaser! I will share lots more information in the next couple of days. Along with some photos!!!
Amanda and Charlene have offered to lead the project!!!! They are new members of the New Mexico Gourd Society. Thank you so much, ladies.
We are excited to learn all about (drum roll) Alcoholic Inks.
HOW MUCH?

CLASS SUPPLIES NEEDED
- Please bring:
- You will need to supply a gourd/ shard. I used a small gourd. 3.5″ tall. On my sample I used plain ole Placitas dirt. (That is all I had on hand) I will have sand available if you prefer.
- We will cut the hole in your gourd shard at the meeting so you can thread the cord through the shard.
- Colors you want to use: acrylics, ink dyes, alcohol inks. Whatever you prefer. (If you use ink dyes, bring your heat gun) .
- Pencil,
- Flexible ruler.
- Sandpaper.
- Scissors.
- Super glue/accelerator (If you need a recommendation, let me know).
- Eraser.
- Compass.
- Identi Pen.
- Exacto knife.
- Apron.
- Q-tips (I like the pointy ones).
- Tiny Paint Brushes.
- Paint palette.
- Face mask (You must use a mask if burning inside).
- NMGS will provide:
- We will have sand available.
