CLASS SUPPLIES NEEDED
- Please bring:
- A Gourd Shard – cut your own gourd shard. The best size is about a 2″ circle, 2″ oval, rectangle, or triangle. You choose. (see example above) You should sand the edges and paint the back and sides black. (If anyone needs help cutting a shard, let us know)
- We will cut the hole in your gourd shard at the meeting so you can thread the cord through the shard.
- Colors you want to use: acrylics, ink dyes, alcohol inks. Whatever you prefer. (If you use ink dyes, bring your heat gun) .
- Pencil,
- Flexible ruler.
- Sandpaper.
- Scissors.
- Super glue/accelerator (If you need a recommendation, let me know).
- Eraser.
- Compass.
- Identi Pen.
- Exacto knife.
- Apron.
- Q-tips (I like the pointy ones).
- Tiny Paint Brushes.
- Paint palette.
- Face mask (You must use a mask if burning inside).
- NMGS will provide:
- We will cut the hole in your gourd shard at the meeting.
- Beads and Cord for your project.
- Circle templates or other templates.
